After Chapter 1 was posted on Scribd, many readers learned how Christine Quinn tried to throw well-respected activists under the bus during her tenure at the Anti-Violence Project (AVP). Since Chapter 1 was released, activists came forward to provide more information about that period of time. Chapter 1 has been updated, to include this new information.
Christine Quinn's claim to have kept true to her housing activist roots is refuted by information in Chapter 2. She accepted donations from the real estate industry during her 1999 campaign for the City Council. Information about these real estate campaign donations was first revealed by John Fisher, the administrator of ChristineQuinn.com and verified with the Campaign Finance Board Web site.
Thus far, Roots of Betrayal : The Ethics of Christine Quinn has dispelled the notion that the beginnings of Christine Quinn's career in politics was truly rooted in Progressive sensibilities.
In the chapters to come, Christine Quinn would continue to betray the community, become involved in corruption with all the appearances for "pay-to-play," until she would finally jeopardize her mayoral ambitions. Stay tuned !
