On Saturday morning (1/29), a dozen NYers held a protest against Christine Quinn at an entrepreneurs conference in downtown Manhattan. We were there to inform attendees that their keynote speaker has been exposed on multiple occasions for budget and campaign corruption. Here's an article that concisely explains one of her scandals that is still being investigated by the U.S. Attorney's Office: http://www.365gay.com/blog/gay-city-news-demands-clarity-from-christine-quinn/
Christine Quinn back room deal with Mike to push through a third term with slush money and intimidation? They flushed democracy down the toilet. She pushed thru Rudin Condos instead of a Trauma L1 Hospital w/ Rape Crisis Ctr W. village! She sold out the people of NY. Ask her, Bloomberg about Howard Rubenstein's work on behalf of Jeffrey Epstein! Ask her about Stop and Frisk

NY Post Christine Quinn's priority, the bottle of hair color to dye her hair!
I posted this comment!
Picture the Homeless was banned by Christine Quinn from attending city council meetings until famed Civil Rights lawyer Norman Siegel contacted her office. He was directed to her legal council and they apologized. You can't ban a group of people but clearly dying her hair all these years has taken it's toll. Quinn has blocked Intro 48 which is a bill to have a count of how many empty lots and buildings there are in NYC and you could understand homeless groups want to know but as The NY Post points out Christine Quinn has her priorities and dying her hair as well as catering rich New Yorkers eager to donate $ to her mayoral run are her top 2 priorities. How can she face NYers when she refuses to help us to get a hospital to replace St. Vincent's. A gay man was attacked in the W. Village 2 blocks from St. Vincent's. Rushing him there saved his life as he was put in a coma to help his brain to heal. Thanks to politicos like Quinn we bail out banks but not hospitals. Quinn needs to quit a job serving the people and focus on coloring her hair.
Please can we have an App for our Iphone that gives us the latest toll on how much her high priced defense attorney is costing us as exposed by The NY Post. Who in NYC gov okayed using Sullivan & Cromwell, a firm that specializes in White Collar crime used by Goldman Sachs for Quinn's staff?

Mike Bloomberg wants to vacation in outer space! When can he leave? Can he take his mini-me and campaign staff w/him - one way tickets?by Suzannah B. Troy
Maybe there is some colony of protozoa that want to be ruled by a group of corrupt politicos posing as human beings. I say this because they put every greedy ruthless developer, financial player with the conscious of a serial killer before the people of NYC. To say Mike Bloomberg is the real estate mayor aiding and abetting NYU, Columbia U. and Cooper Union in abusing eminent domain or air sales or any kind of shady land grab horizontal or vertical all fueled by greed and ruthlessness is an understatement and ditto for Brooklyn and Willets point in Queens. Like Mike go to Mars and try the same thing!
Bloomberg mind set -- thinking he is king of NYC and the nanny little emperor as well is proof he would be returning home. Is the NY Post ever going to do a piece on why Cy Vance and John Haggerty's defense attorneys never served Mike Bloomberg with a subpoena for those 62 emails the NYPost originally asked for and how oops Mike also broke campaign laws? Can we have deputy mayor Patricia Harris swear under oath about the hours she works for NYC gov vs. Mike's charity with the understanding perjury carries jail time? Mike should be drug tested if he thinks he is the greatest mayor.

I have a laugh track a photo of Mike standing behind Quinn -- I ask you do you ever get the feeling Mike Bloomberg is pulling the strings? Quinn is aggressively fund raising to be mayor aka Mike's 4th term. He wants to run the city from the golf course via his puppet Quinn.

Term Limits, Vote YES -- Question 1 I posted Elizabeth Forel, animal rights activists but it applies to all us with how we have been lied to and how our communities have been crushed by NYU, Columbia University, Cooper Union and all greedy reckless developers that doesn't use higher ed as a tax shelter and supersized & crushed our neighborhoods = displacement, mass amount of infrastructure breaks
PLEASE FORWARD
This is not directly animal related -- but has a definite connection. Because of the heavy handed extension of term limits in 2008, we were stuck with Christine Quinn and Bloomberg for another 4 years (from 2009), which meant no animal legislation would pass.
Please go to the polls on Tuesday, November 2nd and Vote yes on Question 1
If you are disgusted with politics and thought about sitting it out on Tuesday -- THINK AGAIN.
Your vote is crucial to once again return the City Charter to a two term limit for elected officials.
Vote YES on Question 1 in the Charter.
NYC voters adopted a limit of two terms for elected city officials in 1993. In 1996, voters rejected a ballot proposal to extend the limit to three terms. What about that did the City Council and Mayor Bloomberg not understand.? Yet, in 2008, under Bloomberg and Christine Quinn's heavy, heavy hand, the City Council (which always votes according the the speaker) changed the term limits law from two to three consecutive terms. This was a disgrace and its far reaching effects of betraying the trust of the people are still not known.
VOTE YES ON TUESDAY on Question 1
Voting YES will bring back the two term limit. It also will PROHIBIT the City Council from altering their own term limits and those of current elected officials. AT LAST - how good is that!!!!!
Voting no will keep the status quo.
So please go to the polls on Tuesday - they are open until 9. Let's take democracy back to the people.
Check out the voting guide you received in the mail recently. Make sure you understand how to mark the ballot because the instructions are apparently incorrect. It is really very easy -- I did it in September at the primary.
